Strange Noises

Hi all. I'm after a bit of general consensus from people.
I'm on tour at the moment, heading to Lake Como and Garda (drove the San Bernardino Pass yesterday - it was brilliant!).
However, the last 2 days, an hour or so into a journey I'm getting a squeaking/screeching/tinkling sort of sound from the right side of the car. The noise rarely happens during acceleration and is most prevalent during lifting off and braking. The volume of the noise doesn't change under breaking and the breaks feel fine - no juddering or pulling. There is no noise while stationary and the car feels just as it did last week i'n the UK.
I've come to the conclusion that the heat I'm driving i'n (upwards of 25 degs) is the source of the noise. And/or dusk build up?
I can't think what else it could be as the car feels normal and there is no noise for the first 30/60 mins of a journey.
Anyway, any thoughts would be good, cheers!

To answer a few questions: there's no burning smell. The noise doesn't go with the rotation of the wheels and isnt constant. It's mainly when lifting off (slowing for slowing traffic ahead) and braking. But the braking doesn't affect / alter the noise.
The pads and discs are good, had a service a month ago.
V8Bart - I think you're spot on. I managed to get hold of my mechanic and he thinks I have nothing to worry about. I.e. Heat etc.

Have a quick feel if any of the drive or prop shaft bolts have worked loose?
Probably of no use whatsoever but I noticed on mine the other day how perilously close the lower section of the alternator bracket is to the exhaust manifold on mine and I wonder if as the healt builds or the engine moves slightly on the supports under braking etc if that might be the noise.
Probably just mine and its something on the list to do when it finally comes back from the garage - five weeks missing this weekend.
