using spare sky+ box elsewhere without multi-room?
Discussion
can i just put it up in the bedroom and plug a TV in? i dont want any of the cchannels i already pay for ( i have sky world .
i dont want to pay another £10 a month - i'd be happy with just the freeview channels. is it just a case of splitting the satellite cable and running it through the ceiling to the bedroom?

Quite often with recent installations or replacement due to damage/weather, I've seen quads fitted. I reckon they would be better off keeping a stock of quads with one eye on future upgrades, rather than duals which will be obsolete.
Definitely worth taking a peek at your dish just in case it's a straight plug and play.
