...is this normal? I've had my Mk1 Eunos for a couple weeks now, loving almost every second of it, but the 100km autobahn drive with the roof up was a bit tiring due to the noise of the soft-top flapping about (well more like vibrating) whenever I went above 70mph. It must be affected by head/side winds as well because sometimes it happens only when I hit 80 or more. It seems to be the section of the fabric between the windscreen top and the 1st roof support that is doing this, holding it in tension reduces most of the noise. I tried speeding up but it just get more and more noisy.biggrin

So, as above, and apart from the fact I should have been driving on country lanes with the top down silly, is that normal, or is there something wrong with my hood?

My rear screen flaps about quite a lot, though the zip is a bit broken so its probably letting air in and not as tight to the hood as it should be.

Can't say i've heard of the top by the windscreen surround flapping before though!?

I would say that this is not normal, and it's most likely easily fixable. I think there is an easy way of adjusting the tension in the roof but I've never had to do it. Someone will be along to say how to do it...

Had same problem myself on the old vinyl roof , the cross bars on the roof thread through flaps that are glued to the hood , one on mine had come unstuck hence the roof flapping about when driving , not sure if these could be re-glued on But it might be worth a try , fixed mine by fitting new mohair hood as the old one was knackered anyway.
Do agree with you that it does get annoying when the roof is flapping .
