Brake pads and Disc prices

Hi All

Been quoted £1080.XX for Grooved Front and Rear Discs, Front and rear standard pads, and disc fitting kits.

Is this a good price, or can i get it cheaper elsewhere?

Actually that doesn't look that bad, but i would go for Pagid RS29's in place of the standard pads.

If i go for Pagid RS29's. Will i have to have the rears machined, as i read on here that the fronts and rears are the same but noble machine the rears.

Can you do Pagid on the front and stock on the back?

Hi. Rear discs are one piece so easy to fit. Allow a couple of hours to snap off all the bolts on the front bells. I put red stuff pads in mine, alot cheeper and seem v good so far.

I know the discs are easy to fit, but been told you have to machine the pads unless they come from noble. Anyone confirm?

No- you can get pads that fit straight from the box. I've used DS 2500s in the past with no problems and I now use Pagid RS29s. Just be sure to specify that they are for a Noble.

I think all rears need machining but it doesn't mean only Noble can do it. I am just waiting for delivery of Pagids from Perfomance Braking in Monmouth although the machining does add a couple of days to the process.

I am only going to do the front on mine, upgrade to grooved and put DS2500.
Is there any reason that you have to do the back the same?
I think the fronts are more important, i have EBC yellow stuff on the back, they are not very sharp for stopping but they never seem to lock up, they just fade a little after heavy usage, so i suppose that is good for stopping the back from locking up?

While we are on with brakes, i recently put 5.1 brake fluid because people told me it has better temperature rating, anybody else put this?

Thanks for that. Helps alot.

I believe Jetstream are going to take care of it. so im sure they know what they are doing!. Think ill go for the DS2500's aswell, as im not planning on tracking the car too often
