I always wondered something about American movies playing in theatres abroad, i.e. in Europe. Is it strange to you folks that the majority of movies are made in the U.S. and lack your native accents? Is there a Hollywood equivalent in Europe?

I only ask becayse I think if the tables were turned and Europe was the largest producer of movies that were played in theatres across America, it would be a little odd.

You speak our language I see no problems there wink

Ps. A lot of Hollywood movies are made overseas anyway and often in the UK.

I thought Bollywood made the most movies? Anyway, there is a huge European movie industry, but because you don't speak the language, then the odds are you'd only see then on DVD, or hear about it via word of mouth.

It's not like there aren't British accents in American films (playing the villains usually, but never mind), but we get so much American culture anyway it's hardly a bother.
