Is there a source for supplying door mirrors with the heater element? (In this particular case the passenger one frown)

Don't worry Ralphy, despite the cheap price versus the frankly ridiculous price at the dealers, the one you've ordered is correct.

You'll just need to pry the mounting ring off your old mirror and the attach it to the new sticky foam pads on the back of the new one.

I got one of these earlier this year after trying twice to get one from a well known supplier. (first arrived broken and wrong side, replacement was still wrong side)

excellent - I've been looking for exactly the same for ages. Do I need a backing plate?

They have sticky strips across the back, so you just need the plastic bit off the back of your old mirror - the bit with one half of the circular attaching ring.

Make a note of the orientation of the old attaching ring.
Peel the backing off the sticky strips
Pop on your old attaching ring
Attach wiring
Fix to car

Thank you very much for that. I went for the option of the wide-angle view as my existing one is cracked and giving the same effect - and I've come to appreciate the benefit!

Interestingly, I ordered the item last night - and I received an email at 7.20 this morning to say it was dispatched!
