the little un is 2 soon, and he's having a party (only a small one for his friends) at a small venue BUT no facility's for cooking or heating up. i need some ideas for a cold buffet (14 kids under 3 and 18 adults),i'll do everything at home, and will transfer it there.

other than usual small sausage rolls, sandwiches, jelly, etc...... what do you suggest?

cheers, Al.

Firstly: facility's = FACILITIES

Secondly: Scotch Eggs. Crudites. Jelly and ice cream. Done.

You need cold skinless sausages with tomato ketchup dip or sausage rolls.

Crisps as well

For the adults a whole salmon. Very easy to prep in advance, looks impressive, surprisingly cheap on a per head basis and tastes yummy.

I was going to suggest some sushi platters, until I read that it was for kids...

As you were..

Oh, another vote for jelly and ice-cream. Historic brilliance.

My lingering memory of childhood parties is the combination of chocolate biscuits and crisps.

Also, cheese and pineapple of sticks but where kids would either eat one or the other and leave the rest.
