c63 tyre pressures

Hi,

I have been running my PP car with 33 psi all round for 2 years now. Last nite as I was filling up the petrol, I noticed the recommended tyre pressures sticker at the gas cap.. It states that under normal loading, for regular wheels (18 inch which I have), the correct pressure setting is 38 psi. I dutifully changed it and the ride became noticeably stiffer around roads in london. I don't think i suffered excessive tyre wear from running 33 psi before but can anyone comment on what tyre pressures you run? and whether you have tried running something else. I noticed that the 19 inch wheels should be running 41 psi... OMG, what kind of ride would you have?

ok I have a PP car so I have stiffer suspension but really, I have never complained about it until I ran 38 psi......

Mine has 19's and I run with 38psi....On looking the 41 is for a car fully loaded with 5 occupants that it recommends going up to 41psi.

With 30 series and 35 series tyres running anything lower than recommended would put more pressure on the sidewalls though wouldn't it?

Checked mine and they're all bang on 38psi....ride is how I would expect for PPP+ with Drivers package and 19inch rims though.

Eh? 38? Where does it say that? Mine says 41/42 F/R for upto half load or around 120mph and more above that - think it may even have been 44/46. I don't know if pressures for the estate are higher than the saloon.

I run mine at 41/42 and it is a bit harsh but then the roads are shyate.

check your fuel flap...


38 is normal loading 41 for high loading. +4 psi if inflated hot.

i rode on 34 psi for 1 year... rides really well. then i changed to 39psi... immediately noticeable.
