dash glare

hi all i have a light coloured dash and get a lot of glare on the inside of the windscreen,some times you can hardly see out of it when the suns out,any ideas thanks

Have similar problem with my prussian blue interior, polaroid sunglasses help (obviously i do not condone smoking as it may harm your health, but theres no one else wearing shades!).

Back in the day TVR would encourage buyers to spec cars with dark dashtops to avoid this problem. So I guess you could maybe replace the instrument binnacle for a darker one? Ridds fitted a carbon one, maybe ask him if that helps...?

Saw a Tamora recently with a flocked dashboard to eliminate this. There are loads of folks who do it acording to google. If you could get a good colour match it might look ok.

You would want the flocking to be dark, not much point in doing it if it's light coloured. Also I have read that flocking does wear off and the little bits of flock or what ever they are create a right mess.

I have just been donated a kit car by my uncle that was going to be scrapped, I am getting it back on the road again and will get the dash flocked as it's shiny plastic. Will report back with results!
