Hi

Be aware that the A1 is also a training ground for traffic cops. They drive in 2 car convoys at speed. I'm not sure if they pull pople when they're like this but one to look out for.

I've seen them between Biggleswade and Welwyn in the past, probably out of the cop shop down in Welwyn GC!!

Company on our site fits out the cop cars with all the elctronic stuff. I see loads of plain cars being fitted out. This seems to be a worrying increase.

Wheres the deterent in having plain cars? Surely plain cars are just out there to catch people? Is that what the Police want or do they want to encopurage people to drive sensibly by having a visible precence???

Unmarked cars catch the real pi**takers and its like shooting fish in a barrel.

When in a marked car, people see you and slow down or stop tailgating/undertaking....in an unmarked car they dont.

Tony, says you were in an unmarked car doing 70 and a car comes past doing about 100 on a clear empty motorway, would you pull him?
