Has been voted and the e type was the winner folliwed in 2nd place by the Morgan and TVR griffith in 3rd. Obviously the voters were wedge virgins then.

Dix now has his tin hat on.

Dix.

I wouldn't say the wedge either. It's just not to everyone's taste.

It suits me because it's a quirky look, it gives a good bang for the buck, is easy to look after, is relatively reliable (despite Mr Zig's problems) and is comfy.

Yes that e-type is awesome but at £250k or whatever is it 20 times as awesome as my 400SX - I think not.

E type hands down but I believe in the spirit of the E type the Griffith, imaginative styling, power and a competitive price, the E type gave performance at a much lower price than the Ferrari's etc and in its day the Griffith gave the same power to pound punch against the Porkers.
The wedge, well to be blunt it was a bit behind the times but !!!! like a fine wine it has matured and like a good wine it appeals to a certain taste (Albeit those with an excellent palate)

Yes, the E-type was my dream car when I was a kid, but now the earlier models look odd with that narrow (especially rear) track. I much prefer the later V12 model. smile

Morgan...not for me, even with a V8.

Griff, don't like the peculiar leading edge gouge in the doors, otherwise...yes please. smile

That updated flattened E-type thing was half a mil by the way, and Jeremy said it took 5 secs to 60 and did 160mph, which to be honest would leave me feeling distinctly short-changed.

For that money I'd buy myself a Speed 12 and go around scaring the st out of everyone. hehe

I always loved the de tomaso pantera and managusta but my dream car was the lambo muira. The first time I saw a griff well the first time I heard it I fell in love with the tvr marque and like hamish said the wedge is an aquired taste, usually the type that shoots kills and eats his own meat.

I'd be thinking the same if I had that sort of Money Graham.

The E-type (in all its forms) is still a really beautiful car, so far ahead of its time. Almost a "concorde" moment for car design?

I love the wegde especially with its "Marmite" looks, and the "WTF is that" factor. Even if a lot of people STILL think its a Fezza/Lotus/etc I've never had sooooo much fun per £ in any car before.

The "Growler" is also the name given to the "face on" Jaguar Badge (as used on the XK series and other Jags.) I'm sure Jaguar didn't realise its other meaning when they made that badge..lol
