Had to share my sighting this AM:

Overtaken by a man with a rather louche look about him (think: retired porn star) smoking a massive cigar, at >90mph, in one of these:

I will never be that stylish on the motorway. Ever.

I love how within like 8 replies of a thread about a sighting of a man on the M4, we now have his street address and start of his postcode. smile

Peter Wyngarde is a guru. He'd probably be the worlds best ladies man if he didn't prefer gentleman. He also apparently released an album (due to his popularity in the 70's) and had complete creative control. Despite the fact that the record company thought he'd bring out a compilation of easy listening tunes, he actually made an experimental jazz album, one of the songs was called simply 'rape' and as I recall pretty much consisted of him shouting the word 'RAPE!' very loudly.

Gotta love Peter Wyngarde. From a distance.

Mind you talking about cool people using the M4, I heard a rumour that Ayrton Senna was caught doing 120mph on the M4 by a copper, and the copper said "Who do you think you are? Nigel Mansell?" and he replied: "No, Ayrton Senna actually."

I have always been besotted by the SM. I also smoke cigars now and then, but I could not ruin such a lovely car with any kind of smoke. Still,,,evidently someone very cool.

Yeah, you've gotta love Peter Wyngarde, just don't go into a public convenience when he's in there. biggrin

I see a black, hand painted DS (I think) down that way daily, usually full of crap, not seen any similar cars though. Is that (the black DS) one of the ones you're referring to?

Bizarre that I've not noticed the others, I'll have to have try and wake up a bit more.
I'd often seen that place under the arches and wondered what it was, googling it from work may not have been one of my finest ideas!

I too have been overtaken on the M4 by this chap and I completely concur with your statements - he looks awesome.

Is it a worry that I've never spotted the Citroens but I know exactly where the 'PleasureDrome' is... and the best bakery in London (Konditor and Cook) just down the road...

As cool as a cool person that has been kept in a freezer at maximum cold setting.

I love the SM, hard to find a good one though.

Very cool, but not at 90mph. Cool guys drive slow.
