Evening all, sorry if this is a commonly asked question, I did a bit of a search and scowered a few pages back and couldn't find anything that matched what I was after...
But basically, on Monday evening I dropped the roof as it was a bit of a warm evening and I'm still revelling in the fact that this is my first convertible. When I got back home, put the roof back up and noticed the seal that forms over the passenger side window has a noticeable gap in it of about 3-4mm. On the drivers side the rubber joins seamlessly, but the passenger side has this gap. I tried manipulating the rubber to sort of come together but to no avail.
When I originally looked at the car last week, the gap wasn't present...is this a common issue? Should there be a gap there at all? The window is as high as it goes, I presumed originally it just wasn't wound up fully.
Call me daft/ soft, but I'm paranoid over the car as it is with it not having central locking, I've found myself going through a five minute routine of checking and double checking the doors are locked, but this gap (as negligible as it is) is a bit of a weird one.
Also, do all roofs look like they're being pulled up from the middle? Only on mine and a few others I've seen, the roof seems to sit in a different shape to the top edge of the window, exposing the seal underneath it, rather than following the shape of the glass??
If you have read all that and understand it, then fair play, you're more patient than I am, but any help/ advice is appreciated!

Has someone tried to get in it? Mines as flush as a flush thing across the screen (to the point where it looks like part of the screen surround) and only a jet wash can penetrate the side rubber gaps.My old roof was the same, too.
EDIT..sorry, not sure why, but I read that as the middle area near the screen being raised...something which made me wonder if a screwdriver had been used!

There should be no gap between the door windows and the hood side seals.
But the seals can be adjusted. If you look you will see each seal fits in a stainless steel retaining channel. If you flick the seal out of this channel, this gives access to the securing screws, loosen these off and you can move the channel as required. You may have to experiment a bit to get the seal to make contact, since obviously you won't know if your adjustment was right until you pop the seal(s) back in.
The vertical (B post) seal cannot totally be removed in this manner, since its got some other fixings at the base of the hood frame, which are altogether harder to remove. But you can still gain access to the channel retaining screws, if required.
3-4mm does sound like a fair gap. As for your gap over the windscreen frame, so long as the rubber seal is making contact then don't worry about it. You'll soon know if there's a problem the first time you drive it in heavy rain, as it will drive in under the header rail if its not sealing properly.
It sounds like it may have had a new hood fitted at some point.
