After having a detonation issue, the time came for me for the upgrade yikes After reading, and talking to Dom, and watching Danny racing in the GT cup in the 4.5 Sagaris, there was no choice for me apart from the above.

I picked the car up yesterday and what a difference!! Although I'm running in and on limited revs I can't get over how smooth the car is to drive. The torque is noticeable even at the low rev range at the moment. With the bonnet covers off the engine is so quiet compared to the normal 4L S6.

Anyone who knows me personally on here will know how fussy and particular I am with my car, TVR Power have not disappointed, they have done an outstanding job of the engine bay and the attention to detail on the assembly of new engine and components more than meets up to my exacting standards, I would like to say on here a big thanks to Dom, Jason and the guys a huge thank - you, and I would have no hesitation on recommending their services to anyone considering an upgrade or a rebuild.

I am so looking forward for the running in to be completed, then off to Coventry for a bespoke map and to be able to drive it as it should be. I know that the 4.5 Supersports will be the engine that gives me what I always wanted from the Sag, with the standard 4L it never really felt punchy enough for me.

I will update the thread after the run in thumbup

Cheers

Dean

Congratulations Dean, please show us some pics as soon as you can! Look forward to hearing your feedback...the guys at Power certainly seemed to have captured the market here, and deservedly so.

Hey - when you come back to Dom for your run in service could you take me out for a spin?? I work 5 min from Dom's place - could pop out. I would genuinely love to see just how good this 4.5 is!!!!!

Thanks, the car was with them around 4/5 weeks, could have been quicker but I decided to have all the ali engine components (oil/water tanks) sent off for polishing, delayed finishing for about a week smile

Mine with 3.4Diff lights up at 154mph, still plenty left if I wanted to rev up to 7600,

would be nice to hit 160+ and keep it under 7200 in 4th.

Dean,
Will it be run in by the Growl and are you joining us? Would be good to see what it puts out (in direct comparison to the Griffs)?

Once I got over the power hike on mine the next shock was the drivability. Fifth gear, 1200 rpm gives about 15mph and it will pull away without having to slip the clutch. Incredible.
