November Sun Run Rally - France
Discussion
Hi all, has anyone competed in this race/rally in France? It is run by an English chap and their website is http://www.15-50ac.org/
I am competing in it this year in the Citroen with a friend (who I know is a PHer too...)
If anyone has done it I'd be interested to hear thoughts etc.
Cheers,
Ben

I did it 2 or 3 years ago in a Morgan and was lucky enough to win it. The same car did it the following year and came 2nd. It was very enjoyable, non taxing and very socialble. Only a few entrants (such as myself!) took it seriously and James has tweaked the rules each year to take account of feedback. I believe the Morgan is out again this year.
Thanks Tony. The Morgan (V8?) Is on their website and mentioned as a winner. Was it your car or is it a ringer (!)? I can see on my entry list who is driving it...
There are a couple of chaps also taking a rally prepped Lancia Fulvia who seem to be fellows who know a thing or two about it.
Interesting route this year too - Champagne region through to Bavaria. Should be fun, especially in a French motor.

It's Ian's car - great performance but lack of space inside. John, his navigator last year and this year is extremely good and was leading up until the last day and probably should have won and still might have had John, so I believe, been a little more insistent on some rule intpretation. Nothing taken away from the overall enjoyment and all done with good grace and sportmanship.
