What TV have you got and what Home cinima have you got? Basically you have no audio feed from the TV to the cinima kit, depending on your equipment it could be done via the SCART, some use a red and white phono some use an optical others use the Audio Return Channel in the HDMI lead.
The simlest way would be to run, as Headcase said, one of the two following options
1 A toslink fibre optic cable from the back of the telly, assuming it has an output there to the back of your home cinema unit
2 A pair of phono cables from the phono audio out sockets on the back of your telly to your home cinema unit
I am just presuming your kit has these inputs/outputs

On the back of the unit, the only ports spare are a coaxial fm75 ohm and right next to it a am port. Then a dmport and a hmdi port.
On the tv I have a spare hmdi, second scart, a couple of ports marked up PC and a White and a green port and a
Green/blue/red/White/red ports.
Make sense?

Have looked at a pdf of the manual. Looks like there is an audio jack 3.5mm on the front panel near the large rotary knob thingy. 2nd one along. On the back of the telly you have a red/white audio out phono set up. Take a cable from here [ L/R phono to a 3.5 mm jack in the fornt of the unit] You'll then need to select the audio input button on your remote.
As far as I can see that looks like the only way but I expect there are more knowledgeable Sony bods than me on here!

It could be that its only wired for one direction, its also possible one or some of the pins have been pushed in, its also possible the TV does not output any audio from AV1, try plugging it into AV2 on the TV to see if it makes a difference, if that dosent then try a different SCART lead, for test purposes have you got anything else you could steal a SCART lead from like a SKY box or Freview box from another room? I wouldnt pay any more than £10 for a decent one, dont be dragged into the Gold is better thing it just isnt, get one with fat cable over gold plated with thin cable, dont bother with B&Q a cheepo Maplin one would be way better.
