No, don't do it. Others will get the impression it is a great event and start turning up to it! We don't want that, after all it's an awful event, rubbish slow old racing cars, nothing to see in the multimarque parking apart from a load of old knackers, no shops, no atmosphere, rubbish!

I totaly agree

I've been to every ClassicLM hoping it would improve
Will go again next year in hope that things have changed

and stay at a lovely Chateau to make up for all the short commings

I share this view entirely. Horrible event- civilised, absence of water pistols, no chance to walk around in litter up to your armpits, No all night music. Cars are old, boring, badly cared for and all seem to run on something called 'petrol' not that nice diesel stuff

I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has. There should be an EU Directive banning it!

Yes silly cars, slim tyres so the drivers have a job to get them round the tight corners

And the drivers are sitting on top of the cars, not inside, Health n Safety would have a field day

2007 was the best year there, no so called classic cars, had it all to our selves and few like minded folks

Now 2006 and 2008 as well as 2010 were compleat rubbish weekends, I'm surprised they keep running these weekends every other year

Ultimately, along with the normal package, I'd also like to gain opportunity to take my car on track does anyone know the sp on this?

Your car will need to be a Classic or something such as Porsche, Lotus, Ferrari, TVR, Lamborghini with whom they allow all ages. You also need to be going with a car club who have parking allocation in the designated classic areas and who have track laps available.

If you are a member of a classic car club, do some investigation to see if they have a trip being organised.

I'd agree with the comment about clubs. I'm with the Morgan Sports Car Club so we have guys going every time its held and we get the laps ( for which we have to pay of course!)
There are anumber of funny rules re which cars they let in under the 'all age' specification. For example, if my memory serves me right, all Porsche 911-type derivatives are OK but Boxsters are not

Again, if I remember rightly, later on during the year, the offical website includes a running list of entries received to date and also includes a list of the various makes of car which are allowed to park where etc

To be fair though, I have seen 356, Spyder, RSK and Boxster models running round. Also XK 120/140/150 Jaguars also, etc etc. The French cannot control it massively due to the numbers.
