How do I find my "PAINT CODE"?

Where on my car is the name of its color or its "paint code?"

On the plaque over the right front wheel under the bonnet. At least it is on my '89 Non-SE.

Sometimes it can also be found just inside the driver's door above the latch. However, mine only has the code offset... A21... in the door. The label in the wheel described above actually says Paint Code: A21 (monoco white)...

How come I have "Monaco White" as well but I'm B01? What's the difference?

Hmmm... Taking a stab I'd say that it could be the year of manufacture. My baby is a manufacture date od 3/88 (May/1988). I know that that paint code for red Mazda MX-5's changed from 1994 to 1995 even though the car stayed Classic Red. supplier number changed I guess... Anyway, the color is the same on the Miata's. I'll bet something similar happened with Esprit. Different code... still Monoco White.
Of course, if you have an 88'... that'll kill my guess...
