Why attempt to sell a car with no MOT (Chimaera)

In the hope that my car sells soon have been keeping my eye out for potential replacements.
a 98 Chim 400 caught my eye decent price, right colour combo and it top 1/2 of the country
The noticed it had no MOT as he was too busy to do this and was still looking for £8.5 k
Im usually quite happy to take a risk on a car if I get a good feeling about it but not even a short MOT would just put me off straight away
Would you risk it ?

Check the outriggers very carefully, they tend to go (cost around £1500 to sort) maybe that's why no MOT, good luck 
Thats what I was thinking tbh honest would not even go see a car where owner could not even be bothered to get it MOT and at the moment can only look anyway as still have a car to sell first :-)
