Just noticed this electrical mallarky on the outer chassis adjacent to the rear of the front wishbone.

It's an ally heatshield with a fuse and,..... I don't know?

I will degrease and clean up the chassis then I will be in a position to trace the wiring.

It does seem odd to put some electrickery in such a vulnerable position.

Barry, I had another chim owner around yesterday, name of Jim, don't know his name on here but his engine compartment would put mine to shame, let alone your's wink.

Actually his was one of the nicest chims I have seen!

That's probably your car's complacency detector - I know for certain mine's got one. It senses the degree of over-confidence in the driver's perception of his own skill, and when it exceeds a certain level it sends a signal to the ECU to make the car do something random and terrifying. It's in full working order on my car.

Judging by the position and the direction of the wires in and out I would say the 100A fuse is the best bet.

Wow, that's an excellent observation Dr Mike.

Clearly I've got one fitted to my Chim.

Just when you think you have mastered it, just when you think you have solved all it's little issues.

The complacency detector will cut in.

In fact the complacency detector is by far the most reliable component fitted to a TVR.

Apparently there is someone on here that will email you instructions on how to bypass it.

However, you need to be able to prove you have owned a TVR for 20 years or more before they will send them rofl
