Has anyone looked at this seems very cheap @£10500 and the "sold as seen ring for details" seems a bit strange

i had a deposit on this went into workshop for check due to overheating .needs a rebuild , rad , shocks, rear screen and carpets made it a no go for me and i pulled out . if you speak to RG they will give you the info i'm sure but to put right i would say an awfull lot needs doing and a lot of money investing. i was gutted as i loved the colour and look of the car .

I would have thought as a dealer it would be worth while doing the work themselves and selling it on....

I've seen this car around before - definitely a PHer's ex-car. Looks lovely, but if it needs all that work then you're looking at an average priced car, not a cheap car.

There is no such thing as a bargain. £10,500 from RG and by the time it is sorted, another £10k+ unfortunately

I realy do love the colour thats what caught my eye at first.

Wonder what price they had it up for initially ?

I looked at it about a month ago when it was up at £15999. The salesman told me it needed to go into the workshop as the headgasket need replacing. They obviously found it was more serious than that

Just shows that even the specialists can get it wrong when buying a car. I think I will keep looking at the RV8 cars rather than bottom end of the speed 6 market. My own car seems to be attracting a decent bit of interest on ebay so hopefully can start searching proper with the cash in back pocket :-)

I put a deposit down at 16k subject to lots of stuff being done but the rebuild made the deal not sound at that price once it was clear a rebuild was needed

My understanding of Racing Green is that all there cars are sale or return not owned thats what they told me a couple of years ago.

Fernies also had a 51-reg Tuscan advertised (this month's Classic & Sportscar) without a warranty, although it's not shown on the website (today). Bit of a pattern emerging??

I owned this Tamora untill two years or so ago it was great but very tired when i sold it and i assume it was fairly well treated by its next young owner but would need a rebuild i assume and baisicly suspension brakes and hood.
I must say I was not responsible for that interior it was done very recently not sure why though
Seems RG have a problem oner there.

Just told bt RG needs a rebuild overheated with damage to cams and followers they said needed 6k rebuild . I was gutted as even though the interior looked like Elvis's bedroom ,it is exactly what a tvr should be loud and lary , bold and brash . The colour is superb but the car needs slot of money spent

As far as I am aware the engine is good, however it needs a head gasket and some other bits sorting out after speaking to Ken !

I would get a second opinion on what needs doing to fix your engine. Str8Six comes to mind. A top end rebuild should cost around £2,500, but more damage may be found when the head comes off..
I do not understand why you are not selling privately? The only reason I would buy through a dealer and not privetely is to get a warranty..

Ken has now informed me that the top end does require a rebuild, Iam still looking to sell because of another project and the price will allow for a rebuild the car will be transported back to me untill it sells
