Car interior leather upgrades

I have been working with vehicle interiors for over 26 years and i am looking for comments and feedback on what people gain from having an interior custom retrimmed or an interior restored, i am also interested in hearing comments on how a custom interior fits into today's fashion.

I was considering the below but in the end I bought a set of leather seats secondhand as it was much cheaper for probably 2/3 of the result.

I think retrims are pretty niche given the cost.
