British registration document. Help needed

Hi Guys

I went to look at a Mini Marcos today, it has been imported into Denmark from UK a couple of years ago.
Iam a bit worried about the british Registration document that came with the car. Can anyone inform me what kind of document it is, and if that is the only kind of document issued with an old car in the UK? I am wondering why there isn't an chassisnumber on there? I do need an old british registration certificate to get it registred in Denmark. Any ideas?

That is only part of the full V5C registration document. That portion is the part that the new keeper gets on sale of the vehicle, the remainder is sent by the seller to DVLA in order to get a full document in the new registered keepers name.

And it looks like the paperwork never caught up with the car, as the DVLA holds no information for that registration.

What does this mean? Do you think it is possible to get the right documents from the DVLA?

If you send that part you have to the dvl a they will issue you a new full v5 registration document, just make sure you keep photo copies and send it recorded post.

If you didn't have that paper work you can still get a log book but it takes more time as the dvl a contact the previous owner and if I remember right it costs £29.

Strange, I got "The vehicle UDE 489H, a Morris Mini Marcos (Estate), is on our database." at first glance I thought the 8 was a 3 but it looks like the registration was just poorly printed.

In the UK, you can go online, and (obviously only for your own car, and not for random cars you see on PH) look up details about what your car is, and when the tax is due. Can't see anything for that registration.

Bottom right paragraph of the top section says what to do if you don't get a full V5 back from the DVLA.

However, the DVLA is staffed by fools, and the progeny of fools, so trying to get them to send a V5 to Denmark might prove fraught with difficulties, not least of which will be the resurrection of the car in their minds, meaning they will want to try and get tax, or missed SORN fines from it.

Might be easiest to ask the Danish end of the equation if they will accept the New Keeper Supplement as proof of UK registration.

Hi Dalla,
Good news is the car does not seem to have been exported by the DVLA so all you need to do is apply for a V5 as if you bought the vehicle and the Registration Document was not forwarded to you. As you have the Green Slip this means you do not have to pay anything. You will need a UK address for this so use a friends if yo9u dont have one. The form you need is here:

OK, now i might be a bit daft, but which search querys do you use. It does not come up with anything when i try.
Maybe it is the reference number i ?
