Dexy & I are off out for a short cruise, visit a hostelry and sample their (non-alcohlic) beverages. Probably around Great Broughton/ Chop Gate area, if anyone fancies a ride out... in about ONE HOUR...

..and it's 6.30 on Sunday...

Why wasn't I reading this yesterday?

Damn.

Good cruise?
Took the vixen for yet another setting-up last week (Malton) and "did" Bilsdale twice on the ..erm ..way home... (up to Broughton, back to Helmsley, then up to Castleton & back and came back to Northallerton via Sutton Bank). Great roads indeed.

Just out of interest, anyone know who owns the red wedge (350) or a red Griff (with problems) I saw for the first time last week in the village?

Dexy

Tried to email you last week & say that I'm working at Stokesley health centre until August (last GP registrar job) - but I've just had the email sent back to me, so I'm guessing you didn't get it.

Alex.

edited to add: good to see the wedge back in action on those photos

Curiously, as I was on my way to Dexy's pad that night( a little stuck in the 70's, if I may say so Neil, what with all that leopard-print furniture and plastic cube chairs ) there was a dark TVR wedge two cars behind on the approach to Stokesley. Did a lap of the roundabout to shake off the Peugeot that had been following me, expecting to come up behind the TVR, but the damn thing had disappeared! Who, what and where?
As Neil says, the Esprit does seem to stick to the tarmac quite well; far from perfect but probably already a better ride than the 390. The view is, of course, even worse than in the 390 - when sat in the Esprit, my eye level is somewhere about the height of the badges on the TVR's bootlid!
Just been in the Lakes for a few days (Keswick beer festival - ) ; managed 250 miles on a tank in the 390, that's what happens when you drive like a ponce! Bizarrely, I came out of the caravan (mobile home, static, call it what you will) on Monday AM to find a note on the car from our mate Ste (green 280) saying that he'd been staying on the same site and only spotted the 390 as he was leaving!
Finally: isn't it odd how as soon as you buy a particular car, you spot loads of them? I went out for a pose... er... road-test in the Esprit and got 2 miles into Billingham when a red one passed me. Then, last Friday, a canary yellow one popped up on a driveway 200 yards from my house!
Right, I'm off to buy a Trabant...

Well, if you want a new home for the 390,I can think of a certain car port that can soon be rid of a certain robin hood to accomodate it
