IVA and petrol tank

I remember reading that IVA insist that a tank must be baffled.
My question to you learned lot is this.
If I were to use a Triumph Spitfire tank in my special "would IVA accept it" and if not can foam or something be inserted to satisfy them?

I have not seen any requirement for tank baffles in the IVA manual.

Not mentioned, but often required by the inspector, is a requirement for a roll-over valve to be fitted in the tank breather pipe. It needs to be installed vertical to work correctly. Damned expensive too.

The filler cap must also be tethered unless it is not possible to remove a locking key with the cap in the open position.

There's no requirement for the tank to be baffled.
It just has to not leak, or be likely to leak.

No requirement for baffles as already said. If it's a plastic tank though it must be certified as a petrol tank.

I believe that on new builds the cap has to be both tethered and retain the key - or so I was told. Seems stupid to need both to me !

Nah, it's either tethered, OR retains the key. The point is that you can't drive off and leave the cap behind.
