Hi all,

I wonder if you can help me... I am looking for recommendations on Supercar friendly hotels in and North of Edinburgh. Ideally not central, somewhere in the countryside would be ideal. However it would need secure parking.

Any ideas would be much appreciated smile

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Needs to be secure/suitable enough for a Veyron and a few other bits...

You will probably be best looking at Golf course hotels.

Several around Edinburgh and further North.
How far North is within range?

How about Norton House out at airport or even someone on here with garage space for several cars?

So can all us petrolheads come and be nosey then?

Nice idea, but if there are speed bumps it will be a real PITA!

I have no issue with people coming for a nosey, that is if I can find a suitable hotel!

As you will no doubt tell, my knowledge of the area is pretty poor, the reason we're coming up is to enjoy those roads wink

This place is pretty special but you need to hire the whole place! Small change to a Veyron owner surely wink

If it is great roads you are after, Edinburgh is probably not the best place to start.

Further North and West is a better bet. Maybe Cameron House on Loch Lomond as a base?

A few speed bumps on the way to Cameron House.

If you spin yourself around 10 times and head a disorientated North, then you will end up in Falkirk. For a drool over your car, you can stay at mine and i'll even take the Audi out the garage for your motor. It would help if you like 2x Dogs, cat & baby. I'm sure the wife wouldn't mind make some bacon butties. Ask Al993 & creamclarky - quick early morning blast followed by breakfast at mine. That was before the baby when i was allowed out!!!!

Seriously, hope you find something ok. Duchally near Glen Eagles is stunning, but don't have secure parking as such. What about Glen Eagles Hotel? They might be able to offer something you would think.

ha ha, now that is an offer I can't refuse wink We may be hiring security to watch the cars overnight now. Looks like we've picked a bad weekend with bank holiday and the Edinburgh festival. Ideally looking for a country house/club, that type of thing. Now considering nearer Glasgow or North of Edinburgh. We will be doing something public on the Sunday so happy to share those details with a wider audience nearer the time, that is if you want to see a Veyron SS amongst other smile

What about a wee bit further and St Andrews the Fairmont or whatever its called this month?

Or you could come West and the Hilton next door to my office has an underground car park which has hidden some nice cars in its time

Phil Collins had his Mclaren F1 parked there once!

I do know a couple of people who own garages. One usually has porkers in it and is near Falkirk. The other one is in Falkirk. Both would hold 5+. One is very secure.

Leave it at mine, as i might be up with baby Emily, so can kill two birds with one stone and watch your car as i may be up anyway. Better leave your keys with me just in case i have to check inside for robbers!!!!
Would be interested in where you are going on the Sunday, but i have my suspicions.

The Holyrood hotel in Edinburgh, beside the parliament building, has a small secure underground carpark, that I'm sure you could use for a suitable fee.

Prestonfield House is a country house hotel in the city, not too far from the centre, but doesn't have a locked carpark, but no doubt there are often decent cars in at it.

The others like Dalmahoy, Norton House, Houston House are all to the west of the city, again none have a locked car park, but will no doubt have some decent cars in from time to time. I recon Dalmahoy is the busiest of them as the car park is shared with the hotel, leisure club, golf course and function suites, so if it's a quiet car park with no chance of parking 'dings' I wouldn't recommend it, unless you can get your own area.

To the west, both Cameron House or Mar Hall would no doubt have a space/area for you to park securely in.
To the north in Fife as already mentioned in St Andrews the 'Old Coures' or St Andrews bay hotels might suit, or inland Gleneagles.

How far from Edinburgh are you able to go?

What about Gleneagles and park it at the front of the hotel?
