Warranty question
Discussion
The main dealer has suggested he would improve his price, but with a difference of £300 on a £600 bill, I doubt he can compete.
Also, it irks me to reward them for the practice of quoting ridiculously high prices, just in case some sucker doesn't bother to check around.
So I'll be going to the independent this time.

They need to be genuine Land Rover pads and the garage has to be VAT registered.
they do not need to be 'genuine' land rover partsi had a discussion with my main dealer recently regarding replacement parts
they have a two tier price structure
a) genuine LR parts
b) OEM 'equivalent' parts - considerably cheaper and carry full warranty

I didn't know that! Well it does make sense
(which is not something that I say often about dealer networks
i'm 'told' Britcar supply the OEM equivalent parts? - makes sense as i've bought several OEM equivalent parts from them - eg pollen filter etc for half the price of exactly the same filter in a LR box
