Having serious thought on an E46

Just plotting my next motor. Have always loved BMW and a few years owned an E30. Anyway, a variorty of cars since, (AMG C36 inc) Mercedes, never again lol, and i'm starting to take serious interest in an E46 330. Coupe preferabley but not totaly stressed on door numbers. What I would like to Know is, what sort of service costs can I expect, MPG and any faults or issues to keep an eye open for?
