fiesta front spring

hi all, any help please. front spring spapped on my 51 fiesta, took wheel of as spring is stuck through top of tyre . i need to know how to loosen the nut on top of strut when turning nut the shaft on shocker turns .how do you stop it turning.allso will i get new spring on without taking anything else off.
