Off to B&Q as instructed by my trusty decorator.
On the way back to the office after lunch in the sun decide to drop in and purchase that half litre can of Sadolin Extra, in matching antique Pine.
Back at the office, forget that the tin is sitting comfortably upright on the passenger seat of my Audi S line A5
5.30pm, come to go home.

Open the car, sit down, who's opened that tin?

Yes, the sun was shining. The heat had obviously got to the tin, and 'whomph', it had span the tin lid, upwards to the fabric roof, and as sure as breaded butter lands butter side down, the stained lid lands back on the seat bottom down.

As i got in, there were splats of stain, lovely and golden, on the roof, passenger door glass, panel, seat, well, back seat, head rest, instrument cluster, dashboard and many other hard to get to places. Not a huge amount mind, no. Just those annoying tiny specs of stain that are easy to see, but bleeding hard to get rid off.

So just before tea, been outside with white spirit and baby wipes, doing my best to get rid of the spots. I know I wont be getting all of them off, but resigned to not doing the full job....

So, be warned, even if I put it in the boot, the same may have happened, just PUT IT IN A BAG, as the OH says so eloquently.

Anyone any clever ideas how to get rid of tiniest specs off leather...?

Off to the garage..

Matt

If you find an answer let me know - I have a boat with chrome fittings that some monkey has got stain on and it seems impossible to remove...

Had Sir considered a fully 'woodstain' interior? nuts
