Am I the only one to think that Mr C was more than a little irresponsible to take a car which he was certain was about to cut out through the contraflow and then around Staples corner? What would be the implications had an accident occured? And did he really say he had been driving for 15hrs? (I only caught the end of the clip) For me, it spoilt a brilliant programme. Anyone for darts?!?!

well at least he knew he might break down......have you seen some of the piles of rusted, multicoloured deathtrap shite that are driven round that area of greater london? (and no,i dont mean tonyrec's area car!! ).....as for an accident, well i doubt if the audi would have suffered much damage as it would probably split a rusty old nissan bluebird/bolloxed old toyota camry in half just by tapping the side.

During the last fuel crisis out TT did 30+ miles with the computer saying 0 miles left in the tank.

Conversely, my girlfriend ran out of petrol recently in the same car with 1/4 tank showing on the guage.

I never trust those computers.

The fifteen hours was not continuous; he booked into a hotel in Edinburgh at the end of the trip north.

Of course, it was all downhill going south.

JC did point out it is illegal to knowingly breakdown on a motorway. I certainly remember that law from the past too (no, I haven't )

It's hard to imagine someone breaking down and not knowing about it Sorry... what you mean is, it's illegal to set off if you think there's a good chance of breaking down there. However, I don't know what percentage probability is allowed or how it's calculated!

Was a very strange thing to say. I can't remember anything in relation to this 'Offence' or where it even comes from!

I would seriously worry about someone who was broken down anywhere at all and they did not know
