I think that might be because they're trying to cover a lot of ground whilst trying to keep it simple. Pretty good effort all in all.

genuine question here, but for those who have watched all 3 of these, does it answer any questions you had? has been intriguing in any way? has it changed your opinion on anything?

i thought it was well put together and explained simply but in detail.

Well presented interesting. Tried to read a book on the history of Islam and it was not well written.

I will not be converting to Islam anytime soon, I'm 100% atheist but I think it's good to understand at least the rationale.

If you are still interested, I can suggest picking up a copy of Islam: A Short History by Karen Armstrong.

The author is well respected in her field and offers, IMHO, an un-biased view.

I've yet to see this BBC series but am looking forward to catching it on iPlayer this week.
