The last holiday I booked was from teletext! As back then it was THE place for a bargain holiday, how things change! Internet wasn't even invented and all this were fields!

On the beach will probably be cheaper than teletext but beware the price can go up in the 48hrs after booking...

What about booking 2-3 days before you go for a good saving and/or a better Hotel ?

if you can get a cheap flight and your lookin for a hotel in a certain area but not fussy to the exact location - hotwire.com

late deals but you only find the hotel name after booking. you can choose the minimum star rating so you wont end up in some dive.
