It is a bit rich I agree. If it was blue with blue velour (like the car from my childhood) I'd be VERY tempted.

I had a black one and really wish I had kept it Saying that there are quite a few cars I wish I had kept so would probably need a warehouse if I had.

blue would look so great, had a later one but not one of the "sweeney" shape......

yes there was a coupe version. There weren't many made though.

When I first passed my test, a mate of mine had a Granada Coupe, which started out in red oxide primer and ended up sky blue with a matt black bonnet, under which lived a Rover V8

I had a Mk II escort, and another mate had a Dolomite Sprint

My father had a '75 Granada 3.0S - Diamond White with a black vinyl top and rostyle (style) wheels. At the time, it was really special, as I recall. 8 second 0-60, Recaro style seats, more aggressive springs/shocks and grille- mount driving lamps. I learned to drive in it and was just getting into borrowing it when it was too wet to use my bike, when my mum totalled it. Wonderful car, just like the rozzers used to use.

As said the consol was the low end models hense no consol Ghia, there were 2 styles of coupe, UK and euro, the euro one has differant rear quatres.
As far as i know the recaros came in the Mk2 2.8S not the Mk1 ?? they did however had scheel seats as an option ?
