Nice one, Macgee.
Buy an exercise bike for about £50 and stick it on the hardest setting. Pedal while watching TV/ranting on PH. Job done.

but dont put it on the hardest setting , you may end up with knee problems , simply put it on a setting around mid way , check out wattage 200 - 250 range should be enough to have you sweating like a rapist after an hr .......and if its weight loss your after as well ..keep going for at least an hr.

Body weight lunges and squats.
This! Bodyweight squats for high reps - maybe with a bit of resistance later from sandbags or elastic cables - should be ideal given that the skiing isn't a one rep heavily resisted maximal activity! I know others also practise holding isometric squat positions, maybe back against a wall, for increasing time durations as preparation.
Some side to side movement such as with an agility ladder (cheap enough but you could mark out string/tape as a substitute) might also be a good idea given the movement patterns you'll need to accomodate.

Sounds easy but f
king hell.
Not easy at all! I used to do sets of 300 = nearly 15 minutes of agony.
king hell.I'm up to 150 with a sandbag over my neck now and will push in 25 extra sets per week (if possible) until I hit 300+ again. Makes the legs really firm and gives good endurance. Good for cardio/ the heart too...
