Slugs

Hows best to kill these little blighters? Salt?

Ive noticed a few trails on the wooden floor by the patio doors, how they get in through a closed patio door I will never know but their time sliming along my floors are about to come to an end with the wisdom of PH's.

Slug pellets work remarkably well believe it or not! Some are OK with pets, but otherwise exclude etc.

Wait until after a good rain shower and pick them off. Slug pellets work well.

You should try and find out where they're coming from. Was watching 'Help my House is Falling Down', starring the once fit (now not so much so) Sarah Beeny and the punters in that complained of slugs in the house. Sure it was due to dampness under the house. [/Doom Merchant]

Well they dont like egg shells as they are sharp to crawl over. I personally use slug pellets and slug defence gel around my plants in the garden, however if I happen to see any, they get cut in half or thrown over the fence, depending on my mood and the state of my vegetables.

I saw that too. Im pretty sure I know where they are coming from ive built a deck outside the patio doors over the drain which is blocked with leaf litter DOH. So kill the slugs until ive got time to lift the deck and get all the crap out of the drain.

Be careful with slug pellets though - pets can die a nasty painful death.

Okay during the daytime but in the evenings they get very rowdy.
