Can anyone recomend a company for supplying an outdoor car cover for a 996, also, I have seen much talk about diffrent polishes , can anyone recomend a polish which can stop my Gaurds red 996 fading/bleaching ? It has not started fading yet as it has always been garaged and very low miles but I just want to make sure it keeps it's colour.

A 30%+ carnuba content wax eg Zymol is best.

I've got a Covercraft cover (the very lightweight model) - expensive but tailor made to fit car precisely.

See if you can get a cover with some sort of locking strap on it. I had 2 stolen off of my car whilst it was parked in front of my house. The 3rd one I got had a wire trace with a padlock which went underneath the vehicle - it lasted a lot longer!

I've been looking at the USA suppliers as well. The prices charged in UK look like another example of rip off behaviour as the fabric used for many of these covers seems to be standard stuff (eg Kimberly Clark Noah). And if it turns up a little baggy I can always put in a few extra eyes and bungee it a bit tighter!
Please post an update when it arrives (with details of supplier). And at $1.77/£ making the cost £130ish it must be worth having to keep the sun and bird crap off the car.
Guy.

Which website? Remember you will probably get charged 6% duty and 17.5% VAT by the carrier. Still a saving.

The web site is is www.carcoverworld I have only just ordered it and the guy I spoke to said it should take about 3 weeks to arrive. As far as tax goes I will have to wait and see however a couple of my freinds have just bought mountain bikes (half price of course)from the States sent over by Fedex and on the paperwork with the parcel it was marked as a gift with the value of $50 therefore no tax !
