A £2000 e34 M5 restoration would be fun to watch, as he finds half the parts are NLA as they're not old enough for BMW to put them in the 'Mobile Tradition' category, but too old for them to bother keeping any stock.

Why an Australian 3 door?

Because of less corrosion over there or are the standard Australian 3 doors models more similiar to an RS2000 version than a standard model 3 door from over here?

Or did they not make an MK1 escort (non-RS2000) over here?

Genuinly interested if anyone can answer ?

Indeed they did do a 4 door, but the reason I would choose an Aussie is because of corrosion. I think pretty much every existing Escort here has been stripped and crushed now.

I still covet his hybrid Land Rover with V8 and high articulation suspension
