Damaged headlight cover - repairable?

Hello everyone.  Had some bad luck recently with my Vantage.  Had my front fenders repainted due to razor cuts in the paint from a clear bra installation by previous owner.  They seem to have done a nice job matching the paint, but unfortunately they damaged both headlight covers removing the replacement protectant film I had installed in March.  It looks like residual bits of film stuck to the cover, but it is definitely an indentation in the surface. Are the covers coated at the factory somehow?  Any suggestions?  Here's a photo:

Im glad this has come up as I too want to replace one or both of mine!!

I have a scuff on one of them and have been wondering the same?

Aren't they part of an effectively sealed unit?

There is a kit that can be purchased for the removal of scratches It really depends on how deep the marks are. There are two types one for glass and one for plastic lenses, headlamps etc.

I believe so. I assume that the entire unit needs to be replaced, but was just wondering if there is some form of original coating on the lenses and if it can be repaired.

Agreed.

Why not try Pilgrim´s cheaper recommendation then advise back ?

I have had very good results with Farleca G3 cutting compound and an electric mop, just as you would polish paintwork. The lenses are bonded and pretty much impossible to remove without destroying either the lense or the headlight unit. Seeing they are around £1k a light, polishing seems the only option!

That looks mine did before it was replaced under warranty.
It looks like a thin layer of plastic has delaminated and peeled.
A repair kit (wet sanding & polishing) may correct it with a fair bit of effort to overcome the ridge there.

Talk to this guy, he has fixed similar issues on other makes.

It turns out that my dealer (non-franchise) has decided to replace them for me. They are going to attempt to refinish them and keep them for themselves.
