Horsepower per pound?

Following on from the excellent 'Average Horsepower' post, heres another one...

Whos got the best deal in terms of highest average horsepower per pound spent? In this case expensive motors lose, secondhand bargains all the way (we'll gloss over which ones were reliable or economical, thats not important!

So, i shall kick off proceedings...

Pug 306 - 60 hp - £1000
Pug 306 - 115hp - £2400
Mazda MX5 - 140hp - £3400
BMW 328i - 196hp - £850
Nissan 300zx - 340hp - £3000
Honda Civic VTEC - 160hp - £2350

So that makes 1011hp, for a cost of £13000.

So each of those horsepowers on average cost me... £12.86.

I'm sure thats terrible, so come on - whos bought numerous cheap gas guzzling beemers for peanuts?

93 Impreza WRX 200ish bhp Cost £400. Roughly £2.00 per bhp.

Best - 1998 Pug 406. £395/131 bhp = £3.02.

Worst - 2010 Renault Mégane. £11950/100 bhp = £119.50.

Bought nine months apart.
