Advice needed on a short car for new family

A friend of mine is looking for a new car that is big enough to transport a baby & baby accessories, yet must be under 410cm in length in order to fit into his garage. He had his heart set on a Mazda 3, but alas it was too long.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Or know of a website where cars can be searched by dimensions?

Two adults + baby or one adult + baby?
You'll never fit a normal pram in the boot of an IQ, or a C1/Aygo/107, or anything particularly small for that matter.

Carpages or parkers has dimensions of everything, but I haven't seen anywhere to search on them.
Nissan Note is right on the 4.1m limit and has a 280 litre boot - although the size/shape of pushchairs, etc is more important than outright capacity. Else I think any small hatch that has a split/fold rear seat will do for 2 adults plus one child.
