Hi there. My clutch has a juddering on release thats got a lot worse. The car shakes when the pedal has only just started to be lifted and bites low down.
Once on the move its marginally better but the gears do not engage easily. When stationary and first gear is selected (with force) and i take my foot off the brake the car starts moving with the clutch fully depressed. I've checked the fluid level which is fine...any thoughts or similar problems anyone??
P.S. My first clutch was working perfectly right up to the moment one of the fingers broke, so i replaced it with this one which has lots of meat on the plates and hasn't done that many miles.
It has juddered ever since i got the car back from a rebuild (it was fine before) and was told it would 'bed back in on it's own', but it's got worse. I've since had issues with the garage (which i won't name) so i can't take it back there to be sorted.
A mechanic i know said its a possibility that the engine to gearbox seal was possibly damaged when refitting the engine and engine oil is getting on the plates and making it not engage properly, but he's just guessing.
Once on the move, put your foot down though and there is no slip at all....hmmm/grrr!
