August events?

There's plenty on in July for most weekends but I'll miss them being offshore, anyone know of any shows/runs/trackdays or interesting things car related on in August that might give me something to look forward to?

Have emailed Alford to find out prices and dates for track hire, could just get a local PHers crowd along for a quiet blast round without the pressure of having hundreds of people watching!

i did have the price list somewhere, from booking it for the mini club day.

i'll see if i can dig it out, from what i remember GTM saying, you'll need the bales up around the track if you have anything going above 30mph. with any luck they'll still be there, if not it cost us 150 quid last year but that was split 3 ways with the sprint guys and SIDC.

Normal weekend hire for the track for a car show is approx 450quid, plus you need public liability insurance.

As you can see, not cheap and hence we arent having a mini club day there for the first time in a number of years!

What does the Crail Run involve? I am free most of August and may well be up for that

Crail run pretty simple! 15+ from Aberdeen plus about 10 from Dundee area heading to Crail. £20 for unlimited runs on the drag strip and time attack course. Cars split into 4 classes and stupid little trophies for fastest times.

Banter and crack more important than ultimate results!

Lasttime was great fun with a good turn out incl a Ferrari 599 and a GT3

Sounds great fun! Also sounds like there are some very nice cars there too, would I be a bit too out of place in the ST?
