i doubt it would be 300bhp with phase 2 ecu anyway. yonks ago when i had a calibra turbo i was running 3.5software and only just broke 300. his whole advert is wishfull thinking.

I thought their advert was actually quite well written compared to my expectations.

Provided that the engine swap doesnt change the tax bracket and they declare the engine swap for insurance purpose I dont see the problem. The advert mentions neither of these and surely its better to be upfront and honest in the ad rather than waste peoples time if they go to view and see that the log book shows as a 1.6. Awfully ugly car and he does make some outrages claims but not sure they deserved to be ripped.

Oh wait, have I just missed the bandwagon, I was never very good at jumping on those things.

It is probably actually pretty rapid but I can imagine the owner of a 50 grand BMW looking at it fly past torque steering making a racket (out of earshot of the neighbours as he respecs dem) and wondering what that was all about, I will be fairly quick but quick as an M3, hmm, until its in a hedge.

I reckon the engine is knackered hence why he wont show how fast it is, just wants to parm it off on some unsuspecting mug, if I buy a car I want to breifly and sensible feel/hear it under full load, turbo cars can be fine off boost but have it all go wrong when its making decent boost, blow by, turbo piping, smoking, juddering etc, so to me, its needing a rebuild.
