Then again it took my gf less than 1 hour to go an interesting shade of pink today so perhaps these particular drivers were showing suitable respect to their bald patches

Of course I cannot condone the use of soft-tops/targas on sunny days, it should be a criminal offence!

Cheers,
Rob

If it helps, silver Griff 500 roof off all weekend - had to swiftly re-install for half an hour Sunday afternoon when the skies opened though !

BTW - very handsome 240Z....

Lighten up you guys - you sound like the open top motoring nazis. Are you really saying that you can't run up the M23 from Gatwick with a boot full of luggage? Or perhaps that you can't suffer from skin cancer and own a TVR?

I had the roof down for most of yesterday, but had to do the last part of my drive back from Norwich to London with the roof on to stop my arms from burning away completely!

It's sometimes quite nice to have the roof up, aircon on full and motor back without getting out the car looking like a sweaty lobster.

I must confess that I'm getting more than a little peed off with the "Soft Top Police" here on PistonHeads.

If I want to put the roof down I will, but if I want to keep it up for any reason then I don't see why I have to justify it to other people.

Just what is the big deal, FFS?

Am I to understand that you are telling me my Griff comes with some sort of roof! I think you are mistaken. Where is it and what does it look like.

Maybe he always wanted a Tuscan coupe but had to buy the targa as it's all they make and so drives around with the panels in pretending it is a coupe. Or maybe not..

Fair enough Nick. But you have been a member of PH for 13 months, so surely you know that one or two of these threads get started EVERY time we have a glimmer of sunshine?

Sorry if you thought I was having a go at you personally. It was more a general mini-rant really.

yeah.....but my post was aimed more at raising the fact that i had seen two fellow TVRs rather than belittling anyone....I didn't take it personally, but do have my own personal rant at ALL convertibles that I see with roooooves on in the summer...if you don't wanna get sunburn, then slap on the 'factor balaclava' and a hat
