Disco 1 chassis numbers. Help needed!

Hi guys, I'm finishing my ncf sahara project and need to get it to my local dvla office. Before I have it inspected I took some photos if the the truck and chassis numbers and showed them. So that I can find out what the right course of action into getting the log book details changed correctly.
When I showed them the stamped number on the chassis leg by the steering box. The guy at the dvla said it was wrong because the numbers have been stamped along 2 lines and not on just 1 line??? Does anyone. Know if this the norm for older discos. Or is just my 1.
Btw it is a 95 3.9v8 efi.

As far as I have ever seen, the chassis no is stamped on one line on the right hand front chassis leg.

If it has ben stamped on two lines then I would suspect it has been renumbered at some time.
