That is a superb album from start to finish.

Got a fondness for Room for one more, Got the time, and not forgetting Antisocial of course.

I'll go out on a limb and say I think "Persistence of Time" is the best thing they've ever done.

agreed.

had real depth, great riffs and more meaningful lyrics...top band.

saw them support maiden on the no prayer for the dying tour - they were superb.

my only real criticism of anthrax was the guitar solos lack a bit of personality and distinction.

we must make an honorable mention for Spreading the Disease though - a terrific thrash / metal album. I've worn that one out!

super stuff

Yup, agreed Alex Skolnick is very good. But for sheer intensity and diametrical opposites in the metal guitar solo, look no further than this:

Megadeth - Holy Wars

Saw them on that tour as well. Love the older thrash stuff, but Persistence of Time just felt more rounded. Lost interest in them a bit after that, although WCFYA was decent.

Madhouse is an all time favourite and have fond memories of playing it in my first ever band at 17 smile
