Trailer for 'The Thing' prequel

Looks quite good, if very similar to the original. I can still remember seeing 'The Thing' at a friends house when I was 14. It was one of the first proper sci-fi horror movies I ever saw and I still enjoy watching it nearly 30 years later.

I'm not convinced. I can't help thinking I'll be sat there thinking I've seen this all before, and looking at the trailer I suspect I might be right.
Slightly off topic, there was a discussion on here a while back about the end of the first film and whether McCready of the black chap were actually the thing. Someone pointed out that the black guy produces no vapour when he's breathing, unlike McCready. I'd never spotted this before and went back and checked, and sure enough, it was true.
I thought this was a brilliant touch by Carpenter, but watched it again recently on Blu-Ray and the higher def does show some vapour, albeit not a lot. I was gutted - bloody high definition

Can the two threads on this be jammed together or merged somehow?
You know, symbiotically?
Like the creature from the Fly...or one can take over the other like an infestation...like the creature from the Thing. You know, symbiotically?
