I would be completing a full vehicle check online, looking in behind and underneath the bumper, checking wings etc to make sure a car park bump wasnt a 20mph shunt.

B it was something that had to be so perfect I couldn't live with the fact it had some paint.

You will find that most cars have had some bits of paintwork during the course of their life.
