Hamburg (Group of lads). Has anyone been?

I need some advice off the PH travel gods please.

We (10 lads) are going to Hamburg for my friends 30th birthday in november. We booked the flights yesterday (got them silly cheap) but as of yet we have not book the hotel.

Can anyone recommend where to stay? We have had conflicting opinions about staying by the Reeperbahn with some telling us to stay near there as its good, but a few people have also said staying near to St Pauli is better as its much nicer with better bars etc.

We are by no means a troublesome group, but do get a bit loud as most lads do when we have had a drink. So we just want good beer, good music and nice surroundings with nice ladies to look at!

So where should we stay? Also how far is the airport from the 2 places I have mentioned above?

I have stayed in the Radisson in the centre of Hamburg, it is within walking distance of most attractions and bars. The hotel used to have a nightclub on the top floor but I don't know if it is still there..

Just be wary of any of the party who profess one evening to be a bit "tired" and going to "stop in for an early night."

Later in the trip walking near Reeperbahn and one of the hookers shouts across at Mr Feeling a bit Tired tonight:-

"hey little blondie with the big dick, get over here again for some more!!!"

Ooops!

Hotel was a dive btw and no longer there.
